And the Fun Begins

It looks like the Episcopal Church and it's creation, the new Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin, are now suing the Anglican Bishop of San Joaquin, John-David Schofield. (link is to a PDF)

Apparently we have not had enough litigation already. We need more.

Led Zeppelin needs to re-write their biggest hit to honour our Presiding Bishop:

"And she's suing her way....into heaven"

And oh my Lord, they are proud of themselves for doing it.

Actually, I am very proud of her. Have you read the complaint, and if you have, what particular disagreement do you have with it?

If you browse around the blog, you'll find out why litigation is not the right thing to do.

Anonymous commenter, what point is served by it? What possible good can arise from it? How does it further our mission as a church? And what does suing over property as opposed to addressing the core reasons for the Diocese of San Joaquin's dissatisfaction with the state of affairs say about where our churches priorities are?

You see, your position boils down to one central idea. Money is more important than people. And it isn't. Anjd any Christian organization that practices that idolatry is doomed. And I want no part of that.

Well said. Not to mention the fact that the whole raison d'etre of San Joaquin in the first place is that TEC had broken with Scripture, which also mentions a bit about NOT TAKING YOUR BROTHER TO COURT when you disagree with him.

KTF!...mb
