......Not. The AJC, to no one's surprise has managed yet again to indulge in scare-mongering and illiteracy. I write illiteracy because they misunderstand or mis-state some of the provisions of the bill in question. Either they're illiterate or lying, and because I try to be charitable, I'm assuming ignorance in lieu of evil.
This is a fairly normal editorial for this crew, so of course the high level of thought and writing skill continues to pay off for them in the form of record circulation growth.

What?! You expect actual news from the AJC? Since when? 'Fact-checking' is definitely not part of the editorial process there.
She also neglects to mention that Mayor Bloomberg's highly-publicized 'sting' was also highly illegal. In fact, the Mayor and his cronies are facing prosecution in federal court as a result of intentionally committing crimes in their pursuit of a political agenda.
As near as I can tell, the bill in question just clarifies some of the inconsistencies in Georgia's current law.
I was mortified at the CCW laws when I had to go up to Atlanta to visit my mom during her cancer surgery. I was so afraid that I'd walk somewhere were 3 people were having an impromptu business meeting that that I'd have crossed into a "public gathering".
I'm sure I carried into several "illegal" places.
