Wikipedia entry. Until today I had never heard of this project. These songs need to be remastered and released on CD pronto!
I've heard Burl Ives quite a lot. I've even heard him sing some of these songs. This compilation must be incredible.
THAT would be one of the must-have CD sets for me!
ReplyDeleteRe-mastering 78s takes some specialized equipment these days. It's hard to find a high-quality turntable that handles them.
